The recruiter's promise of adventure and high pay sours, when Genjiro finds out what the job really is. By then, it's too late to back out. Kai's Chatter Box News for 16 April, 2001 So Much For My Lucky Friday the 13th... Well, as I expected, I didn't win the lotto jackpot on Friday. I didn't even come close. In fact, it was a pretty awful day, altogether. The whole weekend has been pretty awful. I didn't get the jackpot, or any chocolate Cadbury Easter eggs, or even any of those nasty little marshmallow chicks to make me feel better. Sniffle...I need some chocolate!!! (whine, gripe, moan) I did take another sleeping pill on Saturday night, but this time, my body fought it. I stayed awake for nearly three hours after taking the pill, and finally fell into a deep but restless sleep. So on Sunday, I was just out of it all day. I didn't get the expected energy boost, like I got on Thursday. I'm still feeling all grumpy and disoriented, and I didn't get a thing done all weekend. I hope this doesn't mean I'm already building up a tolerance to these pills. This was only the third one!!! Anyway, I'm going to end this, here, today. I'm not feeling very well, and I think I'd better go lie down for a while. I'm very sorry for not having anything interesting to say, today... (^-^) Kaichi
