Banzai!!!! More Gift Art!!
I'm always extremely delighted to receive gift art from fans and peers, and I'm doubly excited today, because I've received two beautiful pieces from YoYo (who, with any luck, will soon have a comic on KeenSpace!!!!!)! Visit YoYo's brand-new spot in the KP Gallery and check out the pretty pics of Genjiro and Anya, and of beautiful Ilyana. Thanks, YoYo!!
In other, less exciting news, I didn't get much done this weekend because of the intense heat. I got so hot on Saturday that I literally lost my dinner. It never really cooled off, either. The last time I looked at the thermometer was around 2 a.m, and the outside temp was 90 degrees F. It was 85 inside!! Too hot to even sleep. I'm hoping it's not that bad, today, because I can't afford to keep losing everything I eat. I also need to be able to work on the art without sweating all over the paper! Whew!! I'll be glad when I'm able to move back to Los Angeles. This heat is for the rocks!! Maybe I should even try someplace like Long Beach, next time, where I can get the cool wind from the ocean. That would be nice. I would say Santa Monica, because I love that area, but unless I win the lotto, I couldn't afford to live there. But Venice...maybe even Venice would be acceptable. Lots of weird people there, too, so I'd fit right in. Almost any city would be preferable to this scorchingly hot, remote area, where I hardly ever see other people and even when I do, they've never heard of anything so modern and weird as an art supply store. Sigh...
