Automation Script, New Font, and More New Logos

Bleah...I'm getting tired of changing 200+ files, every time I update. That's 600 file changes every week, all of which have to be re-uploaded! (*,*) I'm really really interested in finding a nice automation script that will generate pages for my archives from a template, but I'm having trouble finding one that will let me set it up to arrange things in separate directories. I don't really want to use AutoKeen Lite, as I'm no longer affiliated with them, in any way, and I don't want to appear to be. I've been told about a PHP script which uses mySQL to work, but I can't use it on this host. They charge a set-up fee to use that, and apparently, the script isn't set up to work the way I need it to work, at this time, anyway. Sigh...this web stuff is so frustrating, sometimes!

Anyway, I've received a couple of comments on the new logo for ShadowFall's cover pages. Some like it, and others don't. I'm still kind of flip-flopping on the issue, as I like it one day, and then not the next. I made another one, yesterday, which I like (for the moment!), but I'm still not sure is completely right. I'm so fickle about logos!! Here are small versions of the two I'm contemplating, today:

I welcome comments on these! Post about it in the Forum, or send me an email, if you'd like to share your opinion on the fonts. I do appreciate any input on this!

Let's see...the other thing for today is that I've decided to change the fonts in the comic, itself. I was using Witzworx, before, but it doesn't seem to work right in Illustrator, which is what I'll need to do my text in, to prepare the files for print, later on. (I'm currently processing my files in Photoshop 4, which doesn't have the neat text features that later versions have, so I spend a lot of time wrestling with text.) The new font is called Zud Juice, and it's a free font from Blambot. It doesn't look too much different from Witzworx, but it allows me to use bold and italics in Illustrator; Witzworx doesn't. I actually like the new font, better, as it looks a bit more like hand-lettering to me. I've also changed the font color from dark grey to black, to add to its readability and make it more printer-friendly. I did the same with the panel borders and word balloon borders. Suddenly, the pages look more like comic book pages. (~-^) I'll probably change the stuff in the old series, as well, when I redo them for print. I doubt I'll redo them for the web images, though, as it would take me five years to upload all the files! I'm also looking for comments on these changes, as the most important thing to me is whether or not you guys like the new look. The font itself, though, will have to stay, as I do intend to print this book, eventually. The colors and sizes are mostly what I need input on.

That's it for today! See you all, again, on Friday!

(^-^)
