I Missed My Anniversary!!! But New FAST! Archive is Up! \(^o^)/
Sigh...I can't believe I missed the second anniversary for ShadowFall's run on the web! Two continuous years of comics, and I missed it!! The actual date was 11 October, 2002, but other things kind of got in the way of my concentration. So......Since I missed the date, earlier, I thought I'd do a nice anniversary special for today. I hope you guys don't mind me doing this instead of the regular comic (which I'll have on the site another day this week, as soon as I can). I hate missing anniversaries, though, and I'm sad that I missed this one. (6.^)
I have been a very busy beaver, this past week, though! In addition to my ongoing job search (which is kind of frustrating, at the moment...sigh), I've been messing around with a PHP automation system which my good friend, Dave, has written. It's called Autosite, and it works great! I'm using this script, right now, for a new fast-loading, barebones archive for ShadowFall, for those who want to read the story without the extras -- like this Chatterbox, the graphics links in the left-hand sidebar, special comics like this anniversary special, etc. This new archive directory contains only the storyline comics on the basic page layout, plus an issue dropdown and a small linked calendar, similar to those used on the KeenSpot sites (except this one is much more elegant and tidy!). The FAST! archive has its own navigation page, just like the one for the old archive. The old archive, btw, will remain and be updated concurrently with the new one, so no one need worry about losing bookmarks. Both archives will be available, from now on, so you guys will have a choice of which one you prefer to use. To get to the new archive section, go here:

The actual URL for it is the same as for ShadowFall, just with another directory tagged on to the end: http://www.kyokipress.com/shadowfall/fast/ Once you're over there, if you want to return to the regular Full-version archive, just click on the ShadowFall banner at the top of all the pages, and you'll be redirected to this main page. By the time this update goes in, I may still be trying to upload some comics images to the new directory. If the earliest images are not there, they will be, within the next 24 hours or so. The script may also act wonky, if I'm uploading comics at the time you're trying to look at the new archive, so please bear with me. Let me know about any problems you have, and what you think of the new archive! You can write me about it at ShadowFall @ Kyokipress.com or post your comments in the Forum. Either way, I'll see them, pretty pronto! Any comments are welcome!
