Sickiness Sux!! A Few Thanks! And My, How Time Flies When You're Not Having Fun!
Wow...hard to believe it's already 2003. Heh...I'm having trouble writing the date, and keep trying to write 2002. I guess that will continue for a few weeks. Maybe I'll have it down by the time the Year of the Ram gets here, sometime in early February. (~-^)
As a lot of you know, I've been sick for the last couple of weeks. I'm finally starting to feel better, after having a couple of days of puking bloody snot. That's what made me realize that what I had was not a cold, btw; no cold has ever done that to me. The only thing that's ever done that was a sinus infection. Thank God for antibiotics!!!!! Heh...and I knew it was only a matter of time, before I got a sinus infection, after moving back to Texas. When I lived here, before, I used to get at least one of them a year, because I'm allergic to everything in the state. Apparently, I'm also allergic to New Mexico. On the way out here from California, my sneezing fits started about halfway into the state of New Mexico, and carried on all the way to Texas. I think the main culprit is the cedar trees, but there are lots of things here to be allergic to. I am most seriously allergic to my dad, though. (O.o)
Anyway, I'm glad to be back! I have a couple of folks to thank, for generously giving me some links, this past weekend. First is the Belfry, a cool site with stories, forums, and tons of links to furry and non-furry comics! They've sent me a lot of visitors, since my link appeared in the non-furry comics section on Saturday (4 January, 2003), and I hope all of them have enjoyed the site. Many thanks to the kind folks at the Belfry!
Next is an interesting site I found by accident, when it showed up in my referrers. It's called, "The End of the Internet." I've barely had time to look at it, but it seems to be a community-type site, where members can share comments about stuff, links, etc. I plan on exploring it a bit more, this week, so I'll be able to give you more info on it, with the next update. In any case, a member there gave me a nice plug, and I got quite a few visits from other teoti members. So a great big THANKS! goes out to them, as well! I'm always very grateful for links and plugs!
Not much else, this week, other than I'm thinking about getting a motorcycle. Yes, you read that right: a motorcycle. I figure I can save up for a brand new bike in half the time it would take me to save for a used RAV4; the insurance would be cheaper, and so would the gas. That means I'd be mobile, again, in half the time! And I really really REALLY need mobility, at the moment! Right now, I have my eye on a Kawasaki Vulcan, either the 750 or 800 model. Not a high-end bike, but just slightly above an entry-level cruiser. I don't need something really fast, just something comfortable to ride every day, reliable, and reasonably priced. I'm not really well versed on motorcycle models, yet, so if anyone can suggest some others for me to consider, I'd be very grateful. If you've seen the Vulcan, you know the style I like: low-slung seating and classic looks. I also like "easy-to-use," which is why I'm looking at the Vulcan. Kawasaki claim it has very easy shifting and is perfect for beginning riders (which is me). If anyone has a suggestion, please email it to me at ksatake@kyokipress.com or post it in the Forum. I will try to remember to set up a new topic just for suggestions, but if I forget, KimiG will likely do it for me. Thanks for looking out for me, Kimi chan! (~-^)
